VARN PROGRAMS

Domestic Violence Victim’s Assistance Project (DVVAP)

Provides free civil legal services for domestic violence survivors, regardless of income. DVVAP serves domestic violence survivors in rural communities throughout northern and central Nevada.

Domestic Violence Rural Immigrant Integration Project

This project serves undocumented victims of domestic violence who would like to obtain legal status in the United States through the VAWA Self-Petition or U-Visa process.  Please contact VARN at 775-883-8278 or toll free 1-866-448-8276 for more information about immigration legal services.

Rural Senior Law Project (RSLP)

In 2018, VARN added SRLP to its programs. This program offers free legal assistance to any Senior (60+) who resides in Humboldt, Pershing, Lander, Churchill, and Mineral counties.

Pro Bono Services

VARN provides free (pro bono) civil legal services to individuals and families with certain types of civil (non criminal) cases who are low income and live in rural northern or central Nevada.

Lawyer in the Lobby

VARN’s Lawyer in the Lobby project began In January 2010.  The Lawyer in the Lobby will allow you to speak to an attorney for a limited time, at no cost, concerning your legal problem.  The Lawyer in the Lobby is held five times each month
